Hi, I'm Liz, founder of Pawmasté, and my heart belongs to the dogs other groomers might call "difficult."
The anxious souls, the fearful hearts, the seniors with their gentle wisdom, and yes, even the aggressive ones - they all deserve to be seen, understood, and cared for with compassion.
Every dog who comes to me carries their own story. Some bring anxiety, others wear their fear like armor, and many simply need extra gentleness as they age. But here's the thing - they're all perfect exactly as they are. They just need someone who speaks their language.
My approach is different. I'm something of a shapeshifter, adapting my energy to match each dog's needs. In our peaceful Zen Suite (a space I've created specifically for sensitive souls), I hold space for whatever your pet brings to our session. Sometimes that means working through fear, other times it's simply providing comfort for an aging body.
Always, it means meeting them exactly where they are.
